I was there in March for a work trip, and I haven't been able to stop myself from writing a review of this place. I loved it in every way; the decoration is very well cared for, the breakfast was wonderful (especially considering that I have many food allergies, and everything was delicious), and the staff was charming. Furthermore, the location makes it very easy to visit the town—I didn't know it before, and it pleasantly surprised me. I highly recommend The Corner House; I loved staying here!
This is hands down the nicest B and B I have ever stayed in.Derek and Mark are so kind and go above and beyond and for an extended stay of a month due to work down here I couldn't think of anywhere nicer.Their food os amazing and their decor stunning and even extra thoughtful touches like mulled wine and mince pies in the foyer one evening..I cannot praise them enough.:)
The staff (Derek,Mark and Archie ) absolutely outstanding they were so kind. The room was tidy and clean and the location was great free parking on the street the Air BandB is a good place right next to the see front and lovely views the dinning room was fantastic the food was outstandingly great would highly recommend this hotel 10/10 100% best hotel I have stayed in for a long time
Just returned from a weekend stay at this beautiful B&B. Wow what a little gem this place is and it’s only a 2 minute walk to the seafront. The proprietors really couldn’t do enough for you and were extremely helpful and friendly (including Archie) We had a family Room (no 5) which was so lovely, bright and very modern and homely. Breakfast every morning was superb and extremely tasty and when we needed to have an early start this morning due to a long journey back to Wales they changed our breakfast time to an earlier slot to accommodate us. I would 100% recommend this lovely little B&B and I’m sure we will return at some point in the future. Thank you so much for your hospitality Derek and Mark
Absolutely fantastic hosts, rooms were excellently decorated and clean, the head waiter Archie ran the place extremely well (schnauzer dog) and Mark and Derek were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was very nice and the home made marmalade was to die for. We will definitely be back.
Location, a very short walk from the beach and prom but far enough from town to be in a quiet area. Cleanliness, everywhere was meticulously well kept and clean. Breakfast, exceptional menu choices for all tastes and appetites. Parking, spaces for 6 cars but also plenty of free street parking in quiet area. Room, well furnished, great en-suite and shower, bed was extremely comfortable. WiFi, great free wifi auto connects with ease once accepted by password. Hosts, very welcoming, thoughtful, helpful and easy of manner. Always friendly and interested in you and your day.
An enjoyable stay in a beautiful property, with faultless hosts. The room was tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean, with a wide selection of hot drinks and also complimentary bottled water. Breakfast options were fantastic, and everything tasted amazing. The hosts were always on hand to help, and were happy to chat over breakfast or leave you to your own devices. Cannot fault The Corner House, and will definitely book to stay again.
This was a last minute one night stay to visit a relative who lives nearby. I can honestly say that there was nothing more I could have asked for as the room was warm, comfortable and equipped with everything you needed (2 usb ports and a powerpoint either side of the bed is a winner!) and the bathroom was spotlessly clean and even had a shelf for putting stuff on (not the case in many hotels). The breakfast was excellent (we even got fried bread!) and I would definitely return. Many thanks Mark and Derek.
